Leno REI
Leno REI is the founder of THEMAN, a music platform that encourages Indonesian musicians, producers, and DJs to explore sounds that are heavily influenced by black music on a deeper level. Since returning from Seattle in 2006, he has been an active participant in Jakarta's music scene and has established a musical staple for jazz and soul through his infamous GOODNWS and other platforms.
Aside from being a platform creator, Leno REI is also a DJ who has opened for well-known DJs such as Mayer Hawthorne, Rich Medina, Simbad, Natasha Diggs, Teeko, and Shingo Takahashi. He has also released singles from both local and international labels. Regardless of what he's doing, Detroit, Chicago, New York, and Bristol sounds run deep in his veins, which is evident in his music.
